Our 50 Mile Ride events have been successful because of the groundswell of support from riders, their friends and family, and local OC bike shops. We're counting on that same "grassroots spirit" to rise up again this year. You can get involved too! Rally your friends and family to help - we have lots of opportunities this year.

Here's 7 ways to help:

1 - Sign up to ride

Registration begins November 2010.

2 - Donate supplies or raffle prizes

50 Mile Ride for Project Rwanda is a fund raising event. Your generous contributions will be put to great use to help support Project Rwanda's efforts. In addition to cash, product sponsorships appropriate for our event will also be welcomed. Here's some examples of what we could use:

Water and/or sports drinks for riders

Energy bars, gels, trail snacks for riders

Raffle prize items (bike gear, apparel, gift certificates, sports/music tickets, vacation/travel

vouchers, gift baskets, etc.)

Bike placards for riders

First aid kits, 2 way radios, traffic cones or flags for support team

Other ideas or products? Please contact us sponsor@50mileride.com to talk about it.

Here's an MS Office Email Template you can use to send to your family and friends. BONUS TIP: Get your employer, your favorite bike shop (or just about any company you have a relationship with) to match your pledges!

Bike shops and industry vendors:

7 - Volunteer to help

This is a 100% volunteer-coordinated ride. To pull off this event we need your help. If you're interested in volunteering the day of the ride, please email volunteer@50mileride.com for more details. If you only have a few hours, we'll take it! Volunteer for the first half and ride the second - or vice-versa. Thanks in advance for helping to make this another world-class event!
